Great news, Three Beans has crossed the border and has set up shop in sunny Queensland. Located on Eagle Street in Brisbane CBD, it is the perfect go-to for anyone in the city looking to get his or her hands on delicious, healthy and ethical food.
Three Beans Eagle Street has the same tasty menu as the other cafes featuring all your favourite dishes including the Nourish Bowl, Corn & Zuchinni Fritters and our famous Pancakes. All the food is additive and preservative free and has been sourced from suppliers that adopt strict animal welfare practices. It also uses eco-friendly, 100% biodegradable packaging for all the takeaway products – so don’t worry about feeling guilty when drinking a take away coffee! We got you!
Whether you need a time out from work or would like to soak up some sun while enjoying a catch up with friends, Three Beans Eagle Street features a sun bathed patio and indoor section; the perfect spot for any occasion and whatever the weather.
As you can imagine, we are pretty excited about the launch of the new café so have sat down with owner Andy, to get the low down on Three Beans Eagle Street.
Q. Can you please give us a short background on yourself?
A. I have always been in hospitality management. I enjoy the day-to-day challenges, working with the public and associates.
Q. Why did you decide to partner with Three Beans?
A. I have worked with James and Matt (Founders of Three Beans) for almost 8 years and we understand each other’s way of working. We trust each other and I see the potential that Three Beans Brisbane has to offer so I decided to get on board.
Q. Is this your first business?
A. No, I have previously owned my own café in Sydney approximately 9 years ago.
Q. What do you love most about Three Beans (sustainability, support, organic food)?
A. I love all of the above. I love our ethos and knowing that we are delivering wholesome, clean food to our customers is very rewarding to me.
Q. Do you think it’s important to be sustainable? Why?
A. Absolutely, we are an extremely disposable society these days and it’s important that we all do our bit for the environment when we can. Keep cups, ethical food and mindful waste is of high importance to me when running this café.
Q. Are you excited to be the first Three Beans in Brisbane?
A. Yes! It’s a very big step and I feel very privileged to be the person taking our company to a different state.
Q. What is your favourite dish on the menu?
A. Oooohhhh tough choice, it’s got to be the Ancient Grain Salad - it’s very tasty. It is also probably our best seller as thus far. Yum!!
Q. What’s your new hood like, tell us a little about the area… A. It’s a bright area, for a city and very accessible. The street is always busy with office goers and our patio seems to attract a lot of them in as it allows them to sit in the sun and break up their heavy afternoon of work. Although it’s the CBD area, this part of the hood is rather quaint and not as overwhelming as some bigger cities can be.
Q. Finally, do you have any exciting plans for the future you’d like to share? A. I would love for our franchise to head further south onto the Gold Coast and further North as far as Noosa, where I can deliver the same level of great food and coffee to the people there.
Three Beans Brisbane is located on 145 Eagle St, Brisbane City. It is open 6am - 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
